National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Coordinator (May be a contract position) Natural Resource Department
The successful applicant must possess at a minimum a Bachelor's of Science Degree in the biological sciences, environmental studies, natural resource management or related fields and a minimum of three years of directly related professional experience in evaluating the effects of human activities on the environment. The NEPA Coordinator must be able to communicate effectively, both orally and in written form, with Tribal, BIA, and other Federal technical personnel, other agencies, and the interested or affected public. The NEPA Coordinator must demonstrate an ability to lead meetings, manage conflicts, and guide technical personnel towards a set of defined objectives. Possession of a valid State drives license with the ability to obtain a Montana Driver's license within six (6) months. Must have liability or full coverage insurance on personal vehicle (if used to travel off-site in performance of duties). Required to wear CSKT safety apparel as needed. Required to successfully complete a certified defensive driving course approved by the Department. All applicants are required to submit a Tribal application, copy of relevant transcript, a copy of current valid driver's license, proof of enrollment from a federally recognized Tribe if other than CSKT and if claiming veteran's preference, a copy of DD214 must be submitted. This position is not a (TDP) within the definition of the CSKT Drug Testing policy. The successful applicant, if not already employed by CSKT must pass pre-hire drug test and serve a mandatory six (6) month probationary period. Salary range $21.61 to $25.06 per hour, plus benefits.
