Applications are now being accepted for the position of Senior Administrative Assistant in the Planning and Projects Department. This is a full time, non-exempt position reporting directly to the Deputy Director of Planning and Projects. Starting wage is $19.62 - $22.55 per hour / DOQ. Primary Responsibilities: · The Senior Administrative Assistant will provide a variety of confidential and complex administrative and support functions for the Deputy Director and Planning and Projects staff. · This position supervises the Administrative Specialists in the Planning and Projects Division.
Qualifications: · The successful candidate must have considerable experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneDrive. Prior supervisory experience is a plus. · Excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to handle inquiries from the public and other employees are required. Ability to prioritize, direct and organize tasks while meeting strict deadlines is essential. · The incumbent must have good knowledge of general office practices and procedures along with excellent organizational skills; must be able to coordinate work among divisions, departments, citizens and outside organizations to complete projects and reports for the Deputy Director and Planning and Projects staff. · Considerable experience in administrative work supplemented with business school training or college level courses is desirable OR any combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities, are acceptable.
