Leadworker/Sign Graphics

Applications are now being accepted for Leadworker/Sign Graphics in the Traffic Operations Division at Ada County Highway District in the Boise, Idaho area. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with a starting wage range of $21.58 - $24.81 per hour, DOE. Primary Responsibilities: · The Sign Graphics Leadworker operates graphics equipment and performs stencil and other graphic arts work to create roadway and construction sign markings to specifications. · Trains employees in the safe operation of equipment and assures compliance by his/her crew to all District safety standards and procedures. · Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with contractors, property owners, suppliers, the general public and other District employees. · Subject to 24-hour emergency on-call duty for a 7-day week on a rotating schedule. · Assist Crew Chief with daily tasks such as inventory, sign installation, work orders, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: · Applicants must possess strong leadership skills with the ability to work independently in directing a crew to direct personnel in applying standard procedures to sign graphic design and development. · The successful candidate must possess a thorough understanding of all major sign graphic tasks, tools, material and equipment. · Must have considerable knowledge of the manual of uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD). · The successful candidate should have previous supervisory experience. · Must possess a valid Idaho driver's license. · Any combination of education, training, or experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
