Information Technology (IT) Manager
Applications are now being accepted for an Information Technology (IT) Manager in the Administration Division at Ada County Highway District in the Boise, Idaho area. This is a full-time, exempt position with a starting wage of $76,731 - $124,862 annually, DOQ. ACHD offers an excellent benefit package which includes medical, vision and dental insurance, paid vacation and holidays and membership in the Public Employee Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI).
Primary Responsibilities:
· The IT Department Manager manages the District’s Information Technology Department which includes all Information Systems (IS) comprised of Telecommunications, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Web Application Development, and Records Management groups.
· The incumbent exercises general supervision over support personnel within the Department.
· The IT Manager also serves as a consultant and advisor to District users to address system needs and service issues.
Qualifications:
· The successful candidate must have considerable knowledge of management practices and procedures. The candidate must also possess considerable knowledge of personal computer and computer network operations and maintenance including Storage Area Network (SAN) and backup technologies, Microsoft Windows Server, Local Area Network administration, web application and database development, Telecommunications Technology, network security, and GIS applications and software.
· Experience in managing computer networks, personal computers, and GIS is required.
· BS/BA degree in Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred.
· OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience may be acceptable.
